Shauna's Birthday SURPRISE!!! We Had No Idea!!!

On Shauna's 19th birthday, Kirsten and I sat down at the piano and called (Facetimed) Shauna to sing "Happy Birthday" to her. She was studying at BYU-Idaho and was away from home - we thought.  Little did we know, she had a surprise for us. 

As we sang to her via Facetime, we began to hear our voices behind us...as if, we were connected to a bluetooth speaker, but what we were hearing was...well, watch the video :)

I am thrilled to announce that I have decided to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Last night for my 19th birthday, I opened a gift from God.

"Dear Sister Graves, You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
You are assigned to labor in the Costa Rica San José West Mission.

You should report to the Mexico Missionary Training Center on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. It is anticipated you will serve for a period of 18 months.You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language."

I am beyond excited to serve the people in Costa Rica. I'm so grateful to have God and the Savior by my side. I know the church is true! And I love it!
